I think this game is great. But, it has to be something you're interested in. It shouldn't be compared to Forza because this is a pure racing sim game. You can easily change the settings to make it so you can be competitive or even win every race. To me, that's one of its strongest features. How you can make this game super easy to super hard. Your choice.
Don't expect a bunch of music or a storyline. It's all about racing and earning points to win the championship. You earn points no matter what position you place (in some races). In theory, you could lose every race in a season but have enough points to win the trophy at the end of the season. It's not likely but if you consistently finished in the top three in every race, it could happen.
I've read some reviews that complained about how difficult the cars are to handle. Well, each class of cars presents its challenges and they feel different. This isn't an arcade style of racing. I think the Kart cars are the most difficult to drive but I would imagine in real life they are probably harder to control than a regular car, too.
