Description

The Ledger Stax is a new hardware wallet from Ledger. The Stax has a whole new look compared to Ledger's previous Nano line. Major differences from the Nano's are the size, touchscreen screen, and the ability to give the Stax a unique look.

Ledger Stax was made for the day-to-day use of your crypto & NFTs with clarity and comfort. Clear-sign your transactions with ease on the world's first curved E Ink touchscreen. Name it, customize the lock screen with your favorite NFT or photo – make Ledger Stax yours. Entrust your peace of mind to Ledger’s uncompromising security.

Cryptocurrency that Ledger Stax supports

The Ledger Stax can secure more than 5,000 different crypto coins and tokens. More than 500 of these can be managed through Ledger Live, Ledger's own application. You can also check rates here. The other crypto coins and tokens you can also secure with Stax. Only you can't view and manage them through Ledger Live.

What you do in this case is connect your Stax to an external application. For example, you can't manage ERC20 tokens - which are just new - through Ledger Wallet, but you can by connecting your Stax to Metamask or another Ethereum wallet.

Staking and DeFi

Through Stax, you can stake many crypto tokens from Ledger Live. These include the following coins:

- Ethereum
- Polkadot
- Tezos
- Cardano
- Tron
- Cronos
- Cosmos
- Elrond
- Algorand
- Solana

In addition, you can also strike coins outside of Ledger Wallet.

These include the following crypto coins (to be staked via an application from a third party):

- EOS
- NEO
- NEM
- Internet Computer
- Avalanche
- Kusama
- NEAR
- STACKS
- Waves

Using the Ledger Stax

To use the Stax, you also need the Ledger Wallet application. You put this application on your iOS or Android phone or on your Windows, macOS, or Linux computer. The Stax can connect via Bluetooth, so that's handy if you want to use the Stax with your phone. You can also connect Stax via USB-C cable, which is convenient for a computer

Inside the Stax is a battery that you can recharge via a USB-C cable, but this can also be done wirelessly.

Design and name Ledger Stax

The Stax has a whole new look when compared to Ledger's previous hardware wallets. The front of the Stax is almost entirely touchscreen. This screen is made of E Ink. This allows you to keep displaying things when the device is off, for example, your Ethereum or Polygon NFTs.

It is also possible to stack several Stax wallets on top of each other. They then snap into place with the magnets inside. So you can 'stack' them; hence the name Stax. This reference is also ambiguous because "stacking sats" is a common term among people who save small pieces of Bitcoin (satoshi).

Ledger Wallet: buying, selling, and NFTs

Stax doesn't just allow you to manage your crypto coins. From Ledger Wallet, you can also buy and sell cryptocurrencies in combination with the Stax. This way, you no longer need exchanges. Buying and selling are done through parties integrated into Ledger Wallet. You then sell directly from your wallet and when you buy it comes directly into your wallet.

In addition, you can manage NFTs and make them visible in Ledger Live. This can be done with Ethereum and Polygon NFTs.
